Traditional and Digital Homeschool Course Policies

Kolbe Academy allows parents in grades K-8 to register for course plans two years above or below their enrolled grade level. Please contact your family advisor if you would like to select a course outside of the range offered on the course registration form. Students in the upper grades may select course plans across multiple years; however, prerequisites and corequisites must be completed according to the course requirements outlined in the http://courses.kolbe.org

Recommended grades and coursework for registered homeschool courses are submitted in the Kolbe Portal. The Kolbe Grade Reporters are the “teachers of record” for these courses. They hold final say on acceptance of coursework submissions in adherence to Kolbe academic standards. Coursework samples must reflect current grade level expectations to have the parent’s recommended grade validated.

Only courses that students are registered in on course registration can be reported for a grade. Kolbe requires parents to report grades within the student’s enrollment year. See more information on reporting grades in the Help Center.
